I set up my Christmas gift store Santa's Grotto not long after I opened Star Gift Shop in 2012. I just knew doing a Christmas gift store would be fun and I wasn't wrong. I did quite a few designs in that first few months in 2012 but I hardly did anything new last year, in 2013 because I was busy doing other things on other websites. I really felt that was a shame and I really missed the excitement of doing Christmas designs, so I decided to put more effort in to it this year.
It's been great because I have been creating, editing and generally playing around with lots of fun and colorful designs and then choosing which of the fantastic products to pop them onto.
I think the Angels, especially the baby angels are my favorite designs, followed by the nativity. But I do have some really beautiful snowmen designs too.
I even managed to do some Thanksgiving designs too, which is great because I'm British and we don't celebrate it in England. But as Zazzle is American the majority of my customers are American. I learnt what sort of Thanksgiving art work to do and which colors work the best. It's always an interesting learning curve to try something new and I did sell a few Thanksgiving items. I was surprised and very excited about that!
But of course, Christmas has completely taken over now and I am busy working on as many new designs on as many new products as I can in the run up to the big day this year.
