later the Black Watch,

 since 1739 and by the 93rd (Sutherland Highlanders) Regiment of Foot, 

later the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders),

As worn by the latter, 

it was known as the Sutherland tartan. 

It has subsequently been worn by several other regiments.
